We were prepared for a tough game today; Donnington Jets are always fast paced. Today we made them look average because we played a very high tempo, passing game, which they could not keep up with. Archie Critchlow made a fantastic save in the first half, he got his finger tips to the ball and pushed it against the woodwork, Donnington Jets only got three past today. William Plant played a solid defensive role today, he held off long enough to read the game and then he just goes in on any tackle, he is a brick wall. Shia Grocott played in defence and midfield, in both positions he is fantastic, but today in midfield he got behind a ball took it forward and found the back of the net. Thomas Weston was having fun today, he was finding position and he found the net a couple of times and the second was because he did not stop, nice header! Alfie Wood was dictating play in the midfield with his one two football and his long passes, he got four past their goalie and the final goal was a smashing volley. Lytton Pegg was running against a very physical defence which he did not hesitate to take on, he had a few shots saved and blocked by them but he pulled them out of position to make way for the team, great movement! The way we played today, we are ready for next season!
